The vintage presentation by the Renowned Wineries of Burgenland will take place on May 23, 2024, at Esterhazy Palace in Eisenstadt. The event begins at 2:00 p.m. for industry professionals and from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. for the general public. Admission is by voluntary donation to a charitable cause. A free shuttle bus will run from Vienna (departing at 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.) to and from the Hilton am Stadtpark.

You have to register each person individually, but it’s quick—since it’s free, you don’t have to provide any credit card information or the like.
The association “Renommierte Weingüter Burgenland” is a group of twelve top winemakers from Burgenland. Three of them are from Rust: Feiler-Artinger, Giefing, and Ernst Triebaumer. If you’re staying in Rust—preferably in one of my lakeside cottages (stilt houses)—it’s very easy to taste Giefing’s wines in Rust practically anytime, because the winery is open almost every day; there, you can buy wine by the glass and, of course, if you like what you taste, you can purchase a bottle right then and there.
